SNOW IN THE SOUTH?

You heard me--or rather, you saw me.  It actually started to snow in the South, and Alabama of all places!  We Alabamians might get a slight dusting every once in a while, but never more than an inch.

That's why, on the infrequent occasion that it does snow, everyone here goes crazy.  School is canceled, roads are blocked, the shops close down...it's like an impromptu holiday!

I wasn't going to miss out on all the snow day shenanigans, believe me.  I took a few pictures while out frolicking (finally), and I hope you enjoy.  I apologize for the lack of "fashion pictures" but considering the way I looked, it's probably for the best.

I love looking at the snow that hasn't been disturbed yet, like the snow in this field.  It's easy to imagine that you've stepped inside a postcard...

My dog loves the snow even more than I do!  Is burrowing around the yard with their noses a special dog ritual, or is it just my dog that does that?

Snow days are the perfect opportunities to test out artsy photographer skills, am I right?

If only my snowball-throwing skills were as good as my snow art skills...
