I told you that I recently graduated high school, but I have yet to talk about my college decision or any of my acceptances--mainly because May 1 (National Decision Day) fell right before a lovely onslaught of AP exams and study sessions. To sum my experience up quickly, I applied to nine colleges and a few scholarship programs, and after many, many discussions and deliberations, I finally made a decision.
I am excited to announce that I am now part of the Class of 2022 at the University of Florida in Gainesville! Go Gators!
I really couldn't be happier about my decision. I've always loved visiting UF's campus, and I'm thrilled to be spending four years in one of my favorite states at a top-ten public university.
Beyond that, I've experienced some wonderful things since I last wrote. Trying to write about all of them would require countless paragraphs, so I decided to recap the most memorable events in pictures. These are some of my favorite memories from the past year or so:
1. Winning first place in the Veterinary Science Event at the HOSA (Future Health Professionals) International Leadership Conference, and going to Disney World while competing!
2. Taking senior photos over the summer.
3. Attending and competing in my second State HOSA Conference.
4. My last high school chorus concert.
5. Senior Awards Day.
6. Graduating and being recognized as Valedictorian!
The past year certainly has been a time of great changes and happiness, of triumphs and failures. I can't wait to see what the following months have in store!
