BEING A PREP FOR A WEEK: 11/27/16 -- 12/2/16

December 3, 2016

Ah, it's finally December:  the month when we celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, and National Chocolate Day.  It's already starting to sound like a wonderful thirty-one days.

Getting back to the daily educational grind was a little difficult after Thanksgiving break, but thankfully most of my educators also felt a bit winded and adjusted their lessons plans accordingly.  In terms of the weather here, I'm also pretty ecstatic;  I've actually been able to wear a jacket every morning without feeling ridiculously hot or overdressed.  Only a few weeks left until midterms, and then I'll be off to a new semester!  How time flies!

Prep For A Day

Now, on to some of my favorite links from the past week:
This is, without a doubt, the best blogger gift guide I've seen--you'll understand when you reach the very end...
Looking for a gift for a technology-loving friend?  Try this pretty floral phone case or this unique laptop sleeve (also perfect for the travel-lover in your life).
How does one decide between tartan and tassels?  Actually, thanks to this scarf, you can have both.
This hot chocolate recipe proves that French cuisine has always been innately superior in the sweets department...
Speaking of France, Laudree's official macaron guide is a glowing example of the loveliness of a good French pastry (I got this for my mom last year, and she absolutely loves it)!

So, on that magical note, I have but one little thought to round out the week:  "Above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.  Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."

How was your week?

Love,
Tori

  1. Laudree is definitely a fan favorite! I got my mother macarons from them last year, and she was ecstatic about it.
