October Faves

AAAHHH!!!  It's almost November, guys! Where does all the time go anyways?
Soon it'll be winter, and Thanksgiving, and my most favorite time of all...Christmas (but let's not get too ahead of ourselves)!
While it's still October, here's a list of my favorite things from this month:

October Faves

1. Skirts:  The thing is, in junior high no one wore skirts unless it was a required dress-up day.  If you wore one on a regular day, everyone looked at you like you had three heads (junior high, oh junior high), so I haven't worn a skirt for the past four years. Then I got to high school, and everyone wears skirts (or pretty much anything else they want to wear...what a concept), and they're actually really cute!  I just got this one the other day, and I can't wait to style it!

2. Burgundy:  I'm not exactly a person who looks good in red, which really stinks because my school's main color is crimson.  I've found, however, that I can actually look decent in burgundy, and now I'm loving that color!  Just imagine a burgundy sweater, jeans, white Converse...so fall.

3. Bows:  I've been really inspired by Kate Spade this month.  Probably because there's so much gold and it's just great for fall.  I'm also loving the bows, which is really ironic considering about a year ago I hated them.  I love these bow earrings and this bow sweatshirt, but here's a disclaimer:  I still refuse to wear a bow in my hair.

4. Painted Pumpkins:  I think for most people the highlight of October is, frankly, the very last day a.k.a. Halloween!  And one of the fundamental parts of Halloween is, of course, the pumpkins!   I've seen so many amazing painted pumpkins, from Lilly prints to monograms to Vineyard Vines to Monsters Inc... I think I'm going to do a painted pumpkin next year because I'm probably the worst carver ever, and I can't be that terrible at painting, right? Right??

5.  Candy Corn M&Ms:  These things are the bomb dot com.  'Nuff said.

6. Oversized Sweatshirts:  Sometimes I really, really, really don't feel like dressing up just so I can go to school and take three tests.  Since it's getting too cold to wear t-shirts, I've been shrouding myself in sweatshirts instead.  Add one to yoga pants and tennis shoes, and you've pretty much got my "lazy day uniform."

Any other faves from this month that you'd like to share?
